Now that the school year is finally over, I am very hopeful that I can get back to a normal blogging schedule. This summer, I am challenging myself to get back on the fitness wagon and re-lose the 40lbs that I've packed back on over the past three years. Nothing is worse than realizing you can't wear any of your summer clothes. I'm just going to chalk this up to a wonderful lesson in getting my priorities back in order.
So to kick off the weight loss challenge, I decided to make a quick review activity for my Colorful Semantics groups. The alien power cards review what each color represents. Students can use these to help them sort the picture cards on the sorting mats as well as when they write sentences.
Thanks! This looks great! I can't wait to use it (when I'm back a school...so I guess I can wait since I don't want to wish my summer away)!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! I completely agree with you on not wanting to wish summer away. It goes by too quickly as is.
DeleteI'm also joining you on the weight loss. I just did my 1st night of 30 day shred :(
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I'm not brave enough to try 30 day shred. I'm just walking and calorie counting.
DeleteVery cute! Thank you so much for sharing! I'm also making weight loss a priority this summer... I'm bummed that my summer clothes no longer fit. Thank goodness for stretchable cotton dresses haha.
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome and good luck!
DeleteGreat activity! I'm with you on the weight loss thing. Back on weight watchers and training for a 5K!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your training! I couldn't imagine doing a 5k.
